Alyssa's Youth Concussion and Mental Health Protection Act (Alyssa’s Act) was signed into Colorado law in 2026 with bipartisan support. Named in memory of Alyssa Peterson, the law strengthens concussion education, expands mental health awareness in coach training, and improves communication with families when a student-athlete suffers a concussion.
